Jennifer Scoggin Class History When Patrice and I found out we were going to be able to present the class history, we started searching our minds for nostalgic occasion which have occured in the lives of our seniors. With a little help from our friends, we have gathered together a small portion of our past. Due to certain events in our seniors' lives, this material has been censored and edited by our loving principal and teachers. We decided to begin by naming all the seniors who got their start at Clarendon Elementary School, they are: Dennis Braddock, Dorothy Braddock, Nelda Burrow, Carmen Childs, Virginia Clif. ford, Cara Corueil, Charla Crump, Kelly Hill, Mary Jaramillo, Ray Lindley, Gary Lewis, Flossie McCampbell, Gerald Mills, Patrice Shields Tami Swinney, Cindy Topper and David Weatherton. Forty-six seniors are cur- rently enrolled and planning to graduate from Clarendon High School on May 26th, 1983. Now, let's get going and reminisce about the good ole days. The first occasion we could recall was in the 3rd grade when Melody Meremaa came to school and had forgotten to wear a certain article of clothing. Mel-- Were those chairs cold? Gary Lew 2or an early start with girls. Can you remember getting married to Stephanle Anderson under- neath the big tree on the play ground, with Carol Ford as officiating minister? Flmale MeCampbeli and Carmen ChlMs got starts as brutes. Flossie and Carmen got together a group of white girls and made them dance and sing backup while they sang "Heartbeat" at recess. Brad, when you move here we all can remember your first girlfriendl I bet she remembers better than ya'll do! Next, we finally began Junior High and did we have a "Killer" group of athletes. Our 7th grade girls basket- Terry Noble Don & Ginger Stone bali team won a whole sum of one game their whole sea- son. Well Brad--The next year didn't the football team only win one game their season? That was the same year Kelly Hill got so excited after your win, he nearly ran out of the dressing rooms stark naked. Also in Junior High there is always peer pressure. Kids are always trying to impress other kids. That's why Chada Crump used to , one of her ears back so they would look even to everyone. Jay Bmlldea impressed a lot of people in Junior High, that's why everyone called him "Killer" on the football team. There was always slumber parties too. Virghtla Clitoral got extra mad at Tracy Water's slumber party. Was that bra cold Virginia? Brett Bryant tried to im- press a lot of people in Junior High but when he did, Carmen Childs beat him up. Stepbanle Anderson was one of the girls who got an early start with guys. Do you remember our 8th grade remember one night when we wre in 7th grade and you were dating Mark McAnear? What were you doing in those bushes? David Weatherton do you remember our 8th grade party at Carol creek? We know you're scared of water but what was the real reason you didn't play with us? Cara Cornell started her twirling Career in Junior High too, Cara--Will you ever forget to smile for the public? Finally we graduated from Junior High and in August of 1979, we first started classes at good ole CHS. It was the start of working hard for top grades and pushing our, selves to please hard-nosed coaches. We tried a lot of new adventures and learned a lot of good lessons. Our freshmen year was the year Patrlee got her pickup. Were you horn to 85 miles per hour or is it a hereditary thing? l)ennla Braddock got quite a surprise one morning his freshman year. He woke up and thought his house had sprung a leak, only to realize someone had flooded his room. This was the same year the girls started to date more and the guys got a little more adventurous. Cindy Topper do you remember when you used to chase Lance Thorn- berry? Do you remember when you didn't? As you said Brad-the guys got really adventurous. Gerald Mills tried to do an Evil Kenivil stunt involving a barbed wire fence. Dymme Johnston could hardly ever get a date in these days. Now look at her. You might need to tell these other girls the new kind of perfume you've tried lately.
