Presi- dent Genevieve Caldwell called the meeting to order. Camille Day Nies, District 29 Field Representative, reported on the ACS Annual Division Meeting held recently in Austin. Cameron was born October 7, 1994 at 8:37 am., and weighed 9 lbs 7 oz. and was 21 inches long. Proud parents are Glen and Trina Wright. Maternal grandparents are Eddy and Linda Judd. Paternal grandparents are Weldon Wright and Sandra Marley. Great grandparents are Ernestine Christopher, John and Willeue Judd, Viola Wright and Troy and Doris Hobbs. were discussed for the Great American Smokeout to be held in November. President Caldwell reported funds of $2350 collected from the community for the 1994 Cancer Crusade, $1034 from the business drive and $200 in memorials. Crusade Chairmen were Jeff Walker for the residential and Dar- lene Sider for the business. Guest speaker for the eve- ning was Dr. Ed Miller, head of Immunology Research for the Har- rington Cancer Center in Amarillo. Dr. Miller works with NASA in the search for methods to extend the life of cancer patients. He has been able to obtain several NASA fund grants for his research through the Harrington Center and currently is involved in speaking to area schools and civic groups about the research being done. After a delirious chicken dinner, Lion decided to make up for lost time on his duties in regard to fines. He Did! Boss Lion Garland called the meeting to order and led the Allegiance. Followh prayer by Tamplen, guests were introduced ing Russell Estlack, a student who was guest of Lion Allen Estlack, t Gary Southerland,  real estate agent from Pampa who was the Lion Hayes. Programchairman Smith introduced Sondra Dawn who is Texas Rehabilitation Commission in Amarillo. She told us of the ways the commission works to help persons who are having difficulty a job due to a disability. The club took action on one item of business and adjourned. Club Meeting Held The Martin Quilling Club met October 20th with Hazel Edens. One quilt was finished. The noon meal was enjoyed by all. Present at the meeting was Eunice Leeper, Marie Lorene McAnear Noble, Ann Bunyan, Verdie Tipton, Pauline Flossie Reynolds, Frankie Auear and host Hazel Edens. Don E.
