CC girls open season
The Clarendon College BuUdogettes opened their first
basketball season in several years Monday night at Big Spring.
The opener was encouraging for Coach Susan Addy and
Clarendon College fans as the experienced team from Howard
County defeated the ladies from Clarendon College by only nine
points, 41-32. Playing a group of inexperienced but enthused
girls, the Bulldogettes played the game using all eight girls on
this year's young team.
"Defense was great," was Miss Addy's remark as she
described her girl's efforts. For a group of young people playing
their first game, the defense was much better than one would
expect and shows the Bulldogettes have a promising future.
Cheryl Evans led the Bulldogettes in scoring with 8 points.
The ladies open their home season tonight (Dec. 13) at 5:30
against West Texas State University. All fans are urged to
attend. Admission will entitle ticket holders to attend the
following game at 7:30 between the Bulldogs and Odessa
College.
